Is it safe to repair a garage door myself?

Garage doors have high-tension springs and can be dangerous to repair without the right tools, training and experience. We recommend using a qualified technician when you have an issue with your garage door.

Before calling garage repair technican what can I do if my garage door won’t open or close?

Yes you can first check if there’s an obstruction blocking the garage door’s path or if the sensors are misaligned. If the problem persists, it could be due to issues with the opener, springs, or cables. It’s best to contact a garage door repair technician to diagnose and fix the problem safely.

How do I know if my garage door can still be repaired rather than replaced?

There a lot of times where you can repair your garage door rather than going to the expense of having it replaced. If the door is experiencing issues due to misaligned tracks, faulty sensors, or worn rollers, these components can usually be repaired or replaced without the need for a new door.

Uneven or slow movement often points to problems with springs or cables, which are also repairable. Noisy operation caused by lack of lubrication or worn parts can often be resolved with maintenance. Additionally, if the garage door is less than 20 years old and structurally sound, it’s generally more economical to repair it.

Why is my garage door opening or closing by itself?

This issue could be due to a short in the wall swith, malfunctioning remote,  or even interference from nearby devices. It’s important to have a garage door technician inspect the system to identify and resolve the cause to ensure the problem is fixed properly.

How much does a garage door repair cost?

The cost depends on the type of garage door and what the problem is. We always provide you with upfront quotes before we start work on your garage door.

Do you install garage doors?
